To promote and advocate human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, caste, colour, sex or language.

To work for SC/ST victims through awareness activities and by supporting victims in accordance with the Constitution of India.

To help prevent discrimination and harassment of government or public servants, women and the public; protect their rights; and make representations to Central Government, State Government and appropriate authorities.

To support legal or other action for the preservation, promotion or defence of rights and for redressal of legitimate grievances in industry, trade, commerce, the economy, academics or any field affecting society.

To establish, manage, maintain, own, administer, promote and subsidise educational institutions, hospitals, computer literacy centres, schools, colleges, study and research institutions, centres of learning and reading rooms for basic education, adult literacy and advanced studies, with permission from the competent authority.

To promote and foster study in arts, sciences and literature, and to grant awards, scholarships and prizes for their encouragement.

To educate people with the aim of removing illiteracy.

To establish colleges, universities, schools, training institutes and coaching centres for education and employment generation in furtherance of the Trust's objectives.

To confer certificates upon completion of employment-generation courses and trade activities, and to assist with employment generation.

To provide technical, infrastructure and financial assistance in required forms to poor people and students wishing to engage in research.

To prepare, edit, publish, issue and circulate books, magazines, papers, periodicals, bulletins, pamphlets, brochures, films, circulars and related information for grassroots producers and their organisations; and to establish libraries and collections of literature, statistics, scientific data and other information.

To establish institutes or universities for providing education.

To develop and mobilise community and natural resources to guide marginalised and economically weaker people towards sustainable, overall development.

To develop rural areas and land resources; support programmes and schemes for rural development; improve townships, settlements, villages, housing, roads, watercourses, playgrounds and civic amenities; and improve housing, work, health, hygiene, sanitation and quality of life.

To conduct programmes or initiate measures to address poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, corruption and food scarcity; provide clean water; and offer disaster relief.

To establish hospitals for public healthcare and create a healthcare fund to support health-insurance premiums and provide financial assistance to people in need of healthcare.

To undertake activities related to SFURTI of the Khadi and Village Industries Board or Commission through clusters, groups or self-help groups.

To establish companies, venture-capital funds, investment or holding companies; fund startups; acquire stakes in companies; and act as an incubation centre to foster business.

To establish institutes for training in music, acting and related sectors, giving people opportunities to develop and display their talent.

To organise symposia, seminars, conferences, lectures, workshops and dialogue; and to print and publish journals, magazines, books, circulars, reports, catalogues and other works related to the Trust's objects, subject to required permissions.

To arrange games and sports, physical exercise, motivational programmes, seminars and exhibitions.

To educate, disseminate and exchange knowledge and experience from diverse walks of life to promote and develop political, democratic and Parliamentary or Assembly activities and institutions.

To organise functions, conferences, seminars, lectures, public debates, exhibitions, shows, meetings, events, contests and concerts to promote understanding and amity among India's communities and people.

To establish, maintain and organise residential accommodation, hostels, amenities and common services for the benefit of members and guests.

To borrow or raise money, with or without security, as required for the Trust's purposes and on terms determined by the Trust.

To mortgage Trust assets and/or provide guarantees for performance of contracts, discharge of obligations or repayment of money borrowed by the Trust.

To purchase, sell, exchange, lease, hire or otherwise acquire land; construct, maintain or alter buildings; and acquire movable or immovable property, rights or privileges necessary for the Trust's purposes.

To invest and deal with the Trust's funds and money, and to change such investments from time to time.

To purchase, acquire, lease or hire in India or abroad, temporarily or permanently, movable or immovable property necessary or convenient for furthering the Trust's objects.

To sell, mortgage, lease, exchange, transfer, dispose of or otherwise deal with movable or immovable Trust property in furtherance of its objects.

To construct, repair, maintain, alter, improve or develop buildings or works necessary or convenient for the Trust's purposes.

To acquire, by purchase, lease or otherwise, land, buildings and other movable or immovable property considered appropriate for the National Forum's purposes.

To sell, improve, manage, develop, exchange, lease, sublet, mortgage, dispose of or otherwise deal with any part of the property of the National Forum of Weaker Section of the Society.

To construct buildings and to alter, add to or remove any such building or buildings.

To borrow or raise money required for the Forum's purposes on terms, in a manner and against securities determined by its Executive Council from time to time.

To apply to and accept from governments, public bodies, local authorities, corporations, companies or other persons grants of money, equipment, land, buildings, donations, gifts, subscriptions and other assistance for promoting the Forum's objects, subject to applicable conditions.

To create depreciation, reserve, sinking, insurance, capital-redemption, member-security or other special funds for maintaining and improving Forum property or for any purpose conducive to its interests.

To provide ready means of arbitration for settlement of disputes and act as arbitrator between a member and a purchaser of products made by grassroots producers or their organisations when both parties willingly agree to arbitration.
